Pleasant Surprise in Kiryat Ono

Pleasant surprise in Kiryat Ono as the renovated mikvah on Geffen Street opens.

Within the space of five months, the old mikvah on Geffen Street was completely transformed from a badly neglected structure into an elegant and spacious oasis of cleanliness and purity. When Teharat Habait, led by CEO Rabbi Yehezkel Motzafi, first visited the premises over six months ago, it had only one goal in mind: to have the mikvah open and ready before the purification holiday, Hag Matan Torah.

Despite the magnitude of this task, Teharat Habait put in a great deal of time and hard work to ensure its completion; many times toiling from dawn till dusk, and often undertaking consecutive shifts. At the end of five long months the renovation was finally complete, much to the delight of the area residents whose eyes were alight with excitement with the newly renovated, beautiful and elaborate mikvah that stood before them!

Next week, b’ezrat Hashem, there will be a mikvah inauguration ceremony. In addition to the grateful area residents, it is expected that the donors and their Israeli representatives will attend in order to participate in the celebratory event.
